Oedipus the Tyrant

Oedipus the Tyrant is a tragedy that tells the story of Oedipus, a king who unknowingly kills his father and marries his mother. The play is famous for its complex plot, its exploration of the themes of fate and free will, and its tragic ending.

In the play, Oedipus is a young man who is destined to kill his father and marry his mother. He tries to avoid this fate, but he is ultimately unsuccessful. The play ends with Oedipus being blinded and exiled from Thebes.

Oedipus at Colonus

Oedipus at Colonus is a sequel to Oedipus the Tyrant. It tells the story of Oedipus's last days. In the play, Oedipus is an old man who has been exiled from Thebes. He wanders to Colonus, a town near Athens. There, he is welcomed by the people of the town and he dies in peace.

Oedipus at Colonus is a more meditative play than Oedipus the Tyrant. It explores the themes of fate, free will, and the meaning of life. The play ends with Oedipus's death, but it also offers a message of hope.

Antigone is a complex and powerful play that explores the themes of duty, loyalty, and the conflict between the individual and the state. The play ends with Antigone's death, but it also offers a message of hope.
